Joe Carter’s annual charity event has raised $1.2 million to benefit the Children’s Aid Foundation 

TORONTO, ON – The Joe Carter Classic charity golf tournament is excited to announceSnoop Dogg as its headline performer at this year’s golf tournament after-party held at the Shangri-La Hotel (188 University Ave). The invitation-only event for guests and celebrities of the Joe Carter Classic golf tournament is sponsored by Strellson andHudson’s Bay Company.

“We’re thrilled to have one of the biggest music legends of all time join us at the Joe Carter Classic after-party,” said James Dodds, TD Bank Group vice president and event co-chair. “To have Snoop Dogg’s support for our cause is amazing for the Children’s Aid Foundation.”

The Strellson after-party is the final stop for the golfers and celebrities who participate in the Joe Carter Classic charity golf tournament. The full day brings out some of the biggest names in sports including Toronto Maple Leafs hockey legends Doug Gilmour and Wendel Clark, Hall of Famers Grant Fuhr and Moses Malone and baseball superstars Cito Gaston, Devon White and Dave Stewart.

The two-day Joe Carter Classic is held at the Eagles Nest Golf Club in Maple, Ontario, the 2012 top rated public golf course in the GTA by SCORE Golf magazine. The formal charity tournament on June 10 includes a day of golf, dinner and a live auction. The event continues that evening at the Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto with a celebrity-filled VIP after party.

The annual Joe Carter Classic charity golf tournament pairs avid golfers with top name celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting post-secondary attainment and social development programs for Canadian youth. Since 2010, the Joe Carter Classic has raised $1.2 million to benefit the Children’s Aid Foundation and other local children’s charities.
